"Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom." ~Marcel Proust

Wow!!! I hope everyone enjoyed the Operation Write Home Bloghop as much as I did!!! I still have several blogs to finish - but I must say that I saw some awesome work out there!!! And if you've checked the OWH blog you know that your skills are needed even more - making cards, encouraging others to make cards/donations!!! Let's show our support and get those cards made/sent to OWH!!!

Now for the goodies:
A BasicGrey Eskimo Kisses 6x6 pad and the Cuttlebug Star Embossing Folder like I used on one of my cards!

I have picked a blogger using random.org and the winner is #27

Thank you Veterans!!!

To me, being an American means feeling safe. ~Currielene Armstrong

Welcome to Operation Write Home's Veterans Day Bloghop!!! The hop starts on the OWH Homefront Blog. If you are unfamiliar with OWH please visit their website and see the wonderful work they do. Crafters and cardmakers from all over the United States make cards for our veterans to have to send to their loved ones at home. You can participate by making and sending cards or by giving donations to help with the shipping and other expenses. This is a wonderful way to help our country!!!

I have had family members who served in the military. My dad William Q. Snow and my father-in-law Marion D. Harris both served in World War II as did many of my uncles and aunts. At the present time my baby brother Lewis J. Snow is deployed for a second tour in Iraq. These men and women and their families all need our support.

Cut n Paste Memories has held 2 "card-a-thons" to make cards to send and plans to sponsor more in the future. I would like to encourage you to get together a group of people - friends, family, Scout groups, church groups - you will be surprised how much you can get done!!!

I have a few Any Hero cards and Valentine cards to share with you ~

Before you go please leave a comment and I will randomly pick a person to receive some goodies from the store. Enjoy the hop and remember to check on OWH - they can use your help and our soldiers really really appreciate all those homemade cards!!!
The next blog is PaperAddict where Catherine has some really great cards for you to see. Enjoy!

Bloghop 101

A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles. -Christopher Reeve

So~what is a bloghop?

Literally "hopping" from one blog to another! Tomorrow OperationWriteHome is having a Veterans Day BlogHop. Go to the site tomorrow and click on the first blog in the list. From there you will be directed to the subsequent hop where you will find the link to the next hop...and so on...until you have viewed over 75!!!! blogs!!!

Be prepared to see a lot of inspiring blogs!!! Each blogger in the hop has been requested to have at least one Any Hero card and one Valentine card.Plus you will get to hear some bloggers' stories about vets in their lives - some will share techniques - some will have giveaways!!!

What is an Any Hero card??? It is a card for any military personnel - a personal note to any soldier who maybe doesn't get much mail or who needs some encouragement. It can be a "thank you for your service" kind of note or a "would it be ok to trade my little sister in for something better?" kind of note. Write something that's interesting/funny/encouraging/uplifting. We owe our military a lot - let's tell them we care!!

Also please check out OperationWriteHome's web page for ways that you can participate - either by making/sending cards or by donations.

See you tomorrow!!!
