To me, being an American means feeling safe. ~Currielene Armstrong
Welcome to Operation Write Home's Veterans Day Bloghop!!! The hop starts on the OWH Homefront Blog. If you are unfamiliar with OWH please visit their website and see the wonderful work they do. Crafters and cardmakers from all over the United States make cards for our veterans to have to send to their loved ones at home. You can participate by making and sending cards or by giving donations to help with the shipping and other expenses. This is a wonderful way to help our country!!!
I have had family members who served in the military. My dad William Q. Snow and my father-in-law Marion D. Harris both served in World War II as did many of my uncles and aunts. At the present time my baby brother Lewis J. Snow is deployed for a second tour in Iraq. These men and women and their families all need our support.
Cut n Paste Memories has held 2 "card-a-thons" to make cards to send and plans to sponsor more in the future. I would like to encourage you to get together a group of people - friends, family, Scout groups, church groups - you will be surprised how much you can get done!!!
I have a few Any Hero cards and Valentine cards to share with you ~
Before you go please leave a comment and I will randomly pick a person to receive some goodies from the store. Enjoy the hop and remember to check on OWH - they can use your help and our soldiers really really appreciate all those homemade cards!!!
The next blog is PaperAddict where Catherine has some really great cards for you to see. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteThis is such a heartening venture. Here in Canada, the painting guild I belong to also creates and sends cards for our troops. They range from painted, thru to stamped and embossed cards in every style imaginable and are received with great appreciation. It's such a little thing we can do for our heroes!
