OWH World Card Making Day

Today once again Operation Write Home is sponsoring a World Card Making Day Bloghop! The hop starts at OWH Stars and Stamps Blog. You will be AMAZED at the talent of these artists!!!

OWH needs your help making cards...nice cards. The deadline for Christmas cards is quickly approaching and our heroes will need lots of cards to mail home to their families. Check the Operation Write Home site for information on deadlines, hints, sketches, and recommendations.

I chose to make a CAS (clean and simple) card using OWH Sketch #132.

Please check out all the blogs and leave some love. I will be choosing a random commentor for a "grab bag" of goodies on Wednesday! That will give you plenty of time to soak up all those neat card making ideas!! Thanks for stopping by!

OWH Memorial Day Bloghop

Memorial Day is a day to honor our men and women who have served and died for our country. We should all be grateful to these persons for keeping our country a free country. Today we still have numerous family members who are away from their families so that we can be safe.

Operation Write Home is an organization that provides handmade greeting cards for soldiers to send home to families and friends. You can help by becoming involved in making cards and/or by giving a donation. Check out the Operation Write Home website for sketches and information to get you started. Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Memorial Day!

i have no idea...

WHOA!!! It's been a LONG time!!!

Here is a card that I made to get me back in the mood for cardmaking. I was looking for some sentiments or images that looked appealing and this one just jumped out at me. Not sure who would want to receive a card like this...but it seemed appropriate at the time! At any rate it got me back on track....been cranking out a few cards every day since!

The sketch is modified from an OWH sketch...#62 Bonus Sketch. That's what I like about sketches. They give you a place to start...and you can add, subtract, move to your heart's content. If you need a sketch you should check out the sketches at OWH.

Hope everyone is having a nice start to 2012. Be back later with some more cards!!!

Dance for yourself...

When I saw this orange and black material at JoAnn's, I knew I wanted it for cardmaking...Fall is my most favorite time of year and the colors just said fall to me!

Thanks for stopping by!

Halloween Challenge (paula's entry)

Sam's card will be tough to follow...I think she did an awesome job! But I do need to get mine in today also!

I used a plain and simple sketch for this one.....and (gasp!) I actually used a sticker!!! I really have a problem using stickers for some reason..but I had a sheet of really cute cute stickers that I thought I could handle. Sorry...don't remember who made them...Sam has the rest of them :)

Enjoy! Oops! Almost forgot the link to Fab's Halloween Challenge #6. Come and over and join us!!!
